About the 3rd Angolan International Mining Conference

Driving Innovation and Investment in Angola’s Thriving Mining Sector

The Angolan International Mining Conference is organized by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas (MIREMPET) and its event partner, Bumbur Mining, a wholly owned Angolan media company. Since its launch in 2022, the Angolan Mining Conference has grown into a regional mainstay event for major mining companies worldwide.

The event is designed to establish Angola as a leading player in the global mining industry. It supports project capitalization and transaction while ensuring the economic and socio-economic development of Angola through international participation in the mining sector. We believe that foreign direct investment is critical to equitable economic growth through risk-adjusted business environments and truly bankable projects.

Under the current government’s stewardship, Angola is seeing significant advancements in inward capital flows into the mining sector and the growth of private investment, facilitated by bold policy reforms, strong governance, transparency, and predictability across government and financial institutions.

A message from the Summit Leadership

Welcome to the 3rd Angolan International Mining Conference.

My vision for the mining sector in Angola is to increase revenue and attract more investment opportunities. Our plan to double diamond mining initiatives raises expectations for growth worldwide, establishing Angola as a global leader in diamond mining. Understanding the importance of economic diversification, we believe Angola’s mining sector can play a significant role in the global energy transition with our abundance of critical minerals, precious metals, and rare earth metals.

Not only is Angola endowed with these minerals, but we also have vast opportunities for companies considering ornamental minerals. Under my administration, Angola has reformed mining sector policies and regulations to make the sector more competitive, predictable, and inviting for international business partnerships.

We invite you to the 3rd Angolan International Mining Conference to engage with project owners, consider new geological insights, collaborate with our agencies to develop critical infrastructure, and gain exclusive access to projects of strategic importance to Angola and the world. Join us in October 2025, where our country will open its doors to the most exciting mining and infrastructure opportunities on the continent.
